"We are having too many cyclists affected by road accidents. Roadies, MTB's whatever in silent protest and to raise awareness.
I know there are a lot of proposals for Burry memorial rides, but let's follow the right procedures and get official approvals. This event has been approved and rubber stamped to ensure safety and max exposure because we want to send out a message. We will finalise the route, start and end points and safety plans next week.
We are going big. Netcare and ER24 as well as Emergency Services, Fire Engines, Traffic Department are on board. We now need the pro riders and the masses. The support is huge. Spread the word...
The event will start in the Park next to Key West Mall at 08h00."
