Dear Residents,

Below is a press release from Johannesburg Water regarding a massive planned water interruption taking place on the 24^th January and will last for 25 hours. I request that all suburbs to use water sparingly during this period as past experience has shown that surrounding suburbs run dry or water pressure is decreased.

I have requested a Water Tanker to be placed in the area but I will confirm later in the week where it will be placed.

Reason: Randwater maintenance at Eikenhof pump station

Impact on customers: Water supply disruption lasting 25 Hours- Randwater will continue to supply water but at reduced capacity. There might be poor pressures and no waters experienced during this shutdown

Alternative source There will be tanks provided/ filled at hospitals listed above

Johannesburg Water wishes to apologize to the residents in affected areas and undertakes to have the interruption resolved as soon as possible.
