Passing of Joe Sanky an original founder of the Relics

For those not members of the Relics FB page Joe Sanky an original founder of the Relics passed away at the age of 93. He served in the Korean War. Last season his daughter Carly sponsored a banner in his honor. It hangs right next to the right field foul pole. Attached is a photo of Joe pitching during his Relic days. The memorial service for Joe is Friday 5/29.

The visitation on Friday is from 9-1030 at Sampson Family Church at 21 Tinkham Road in Springfield and then a service at 11 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart in Springfield. The family requests any donations be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield or in his name to a charity of your choice.

Since a large contingent of Relics will be on the Cape this Friday I urge those not participating make every effort to attend the visitation.

For those unable to I suggest you walk out to his banner next to the RF foul pole and think good thoughts for Joe.
