This past weekend the Diamond Dawgs captured the 2022 Cape Cod Senior Classic in the AA Division
by defeating the NH Nemesis 13-10 in the Championship game. Fueled by the overall stellar performance
of newcomer Brian Morrissey who led the team in hitting and played solid defense at 2b, despite being
less than 100% and the steady, crafty pitching of Kelly Dapprich, the 2nd seeded Dawgs won both games
on Sunday in the single elimination format to clinch the title. There were contributions from everyone up
and down the lineup as the Dawgs relied on a complete team effort to notch their 3rd Cape crown in 5
years. Next up for the WMass Mastiffs is the Winter Nationals in Ft. Myers, FL, November 11-13.
