Although I serve as the Internal Chair for Gold, I generally avoid joining message-board discussions with someone who consistently disagrees with decisions made by my committee and me. I do not run the Gold division like a dictatorship; I value input from coaches. My committee and I consider the suggestions we receive and then make the final decisions.
Unlike Eastern Mass or the Cape League, we do not draw from hundreds of players. Most of our players are over 69, so we must consider their abilities and limitations on the field.
Given the challenges this season—including game-related issues, weather, and numerous injuries—we decided at our last meeting that certain rules may be waived when both coaches agree. Five of the six coaches supported the proposal, along with the IC committee.
