For the numerous live music aficionados among the Relics, this weekend is the Springfield Jazz and Roots Festival, starting Friday night, and continuing all day Saturday. A lot of great bands, including the Friday night headliner, Misty Blues, who I recently saw in the Berkshires. Great blues, roots, and folk band!!
The festival concludes Saturday night with a band featuring Lisa Fisher, formerly THE backup singer for the Rolling Stones. (That’s her voice on the studio version of “Give Me Shelter.”)
The festival, which is free, is located at Stearns Square, between Bridge and Worthington Streets.
