COMMUNITY HEALTH FAIR SCHEDULED AT
SPRINGFIELD TECHNICAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE


The greater Springfield community is invited to the annual community
health fair at Springfield Technical Community College. The event
will
be held on Tuesday, April 14, from 9:00 to 2:00, in the Scibelli Hall
gymnasium at STCC.

This fair is presented each year by the senior class in STCC’s RN
Nursing program. The 88 senior students in the program will present

booths of information, some with activities, giveaways, speakers, and
demonstrations.

Topics covered will include adolescent health, asthma, body
enhancement, cardiovascular health, child safety, diabetes, eating
disorders, interpersonal violence, maternal health, men’s health,
sexual health, smoking cessation, stress reduction, substance abuse,
and
women’s health.

There will be free blood pressure and other screenings, and
opportunities to win raffle prizes, with drawings throughout the day.
