Dear supporter of the Cape Town Baroque Orchestra:
This week, we are shining the spotlight on the first event of the 2025 Cape Town Baroque Festival – the 19th Annual Record Symposium!
Join us for a morning of recorder masterclasses with world-renowned recorder wizard Erik Bosgraaf, where young recorder players at the beginning of their careers will be inspired to bloom into professional musicians! Bosgraaf will open the Symposium with a fascinating talk: 'Adriana van den Bergh – a 17th-century recorder prodigy', exploring the craft of a remarkable young recorder player from centuries past. Please also join us for complimentary mid-morning refreshments.
Date and time: Saturday, 20 September, 09:00-13:15
Venue: St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, De Waterkant, Cape Town
Tickets: R200 (regular), R150 (pensioners), R100 (learners/students)*
*Special bundle offer available for Event 1 (Symposium) and Event 5 (A Tribute to Telemann - orchestral concert with Erik Bosgraaf as soloist on Saturday, 27 September at 19:00): R300 (regular), R230 (pensioners), R150 (learners/students).
