Dear supporter of the Cape Town Baroque Orchestra:

The 2025 Cape Town Baroque Festival: The Miniature and the Monumental kicks off this Saturday, and our excitement is steadily mounting! Two concerts are already sold out (thank you!), but there’s still time to book for these highlights:

Event 1: 19th Annual Recorder Symposium (educational event)
Sat, 20 Sept, 09:00-13:15, with international recorder wizard Erik Bosgraaf.

Event 3: Spem in Alium: from the Miniature to the Monumental (choral concert)
Wed, 24 Sept, 11:00-12:00 (performance 1) and 13:00-14:00 (performance 2), with Lutesong Consort, True Voices, and many of the singers you know and love from VOX Cape Town.

Event 5: A Tribute to Telemann (orchestral concert)
Sat, 27 Sept, 19:00-20:30 (with a pre-concert talk by Anna Stoddard at 18:00), featuring the Cape Town Baroque Orchestra under the direction of Erik Bosgraaf, and with a dazzling line-up of soloists: Erik Bosgraaf (recorder, chalumeau), international baroque specialist Zefira Valova (baroque violin), as well as local players Annien Shaw and Ralitza Macheva (baroque violins), and David Cyster (chalumeau). Cyster will be presenting a rare double chalumeau highlight with Bosgraaf.

The venue for all three events is St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, De Waterkant. Please also join us after Events 3 and 5 for a complimentary glass of wine. We look forward to baroque your world - soon!

BOOK HERE!
Zefira Valova (baroque violin) and Erik Bosgraaf (recorder) playing Telemann. Their duo recital (21 Sept) is sold out, but you can still catch them at our festival finale, A Tribute to Telemann (27 Sept).
