Concert 2: From Heart to Tongue - Dowland rarities performed by the Lutesong Consort
Following the success of their two previous all-Dowland programmes — From Court to Cottage (2022) and From Source to Stream (2023) — the Lutesong Consort now presents the third instalment in the series: From Heart to Tongue. This programme draws on some of Dowland’s most expressive and introspective songs from his final publication, A Pilgrimes Solace, exploring a more reflective and rhetorically intense late style. The concert will be performed in original Elizabethan pronunciation (OP). Featuring Elsabé Richter, Lente Louw, Willem Bester, and Keaton Manwaring (voices), Uwe Grosser (lute), with Rosamund Roth and Rebekka Sandmeier (viols). The masterclass participants will also join the Lutesong Consort for an ensemble arrangement of arguably Dowland's most famous song, "Flow my tears".
Tickets are on Quicket: https://qkt.io/0cADPC
These events are generously supported by Bill van Rensburg.
We look forward to celebrating with you!
Kind regards
Lente and Uwe
