HB 40s Singles Int'l Themed Picnic & BBQ, August 17

Come join us on August 17 for our next HB "40-something" Singles group (ages late 30s and 40s) activity with an International Themed Picnic in the heart of Downtown Huntington Beach at historic Lake Park.
We anticipate over 60 people from all over SoCal (OC, LA, SD, IE and Ventura County) in attendance.
** This is a Family Friendly Activity, so your kids are welcome :) **
We ask everyone to bring your favorite ethnic dish and drink to share with the group (enough for 3 people). If you can't cook or don't want to bring a dish in the car all the way from LA, SD, IE, or Ventura County, no worries... There are nearby grocery stores or take-out joints within 5 minutes of the park that you can buy a ready-made ethnic dish for the group. See the Facebook Event Page for a list of nearby places to get food for the picnic.
To ensure everyone is not bringing the same potato salad or bag of chips, we are breaking down dishes by categories: American, Mexican, Asian, European, or some another exotic locale. Bring either a main dish (with meat), side dish or salad, and/or dessert (and drink). Awards will be handed out to the most creative and exotic main dish, side dish, dessert, and drink.
If you need to cook meat or heat up your dish, there will be a few hibachis or you can bring your own.
Feel free to RSVP via email and tell us what dish (category) you are bringing to the group. There will be a few picnic tables available, but due to the size of the group, so we ask you to bring your own chair, beach chair, and/or blanket.
This time we will have some organized ice breaker activities and park activities like frisbee, croquet, badminton and other picnic classic games. There's a playground area for kids as well.
Lunch will be served promptly at 1:00 pm with the picnic ending around 4 pm. Afterwards, we can hang out further and check out Downtown HB, beach, and HB Pier if you want with others. (10-15 minute walk)
So bring your friends, other late30s/ 40-something Singles in your stake, RSVP, and see you there!

Why a 40s Singles Group, you may ask? With the recent change in the Singles Program defining Midsingles 31-45, and Single Adults 46+ , cuts the 40s in half. :) To help with overlap and transition between the groups, the Huntington Beach area has monthly activities just for 40-something Singles -- allowing singles late 30s and 40s to mix and mingle with some fun and fellowship.. Good times...
