Namaste Friends,
We need your urgent help!
We respectfully request you sign the Community Coalition Letter to the Seattle City Council to express strong opposition to the recent anti-India resolution that blatantly misrepresents India's Citizenship Amendment Act. Your support is vital to ensuring that the Seattle City Council hears from the community in one united voice and takes immediate steps to stop this resolution.
If passed, this resolution will set a dangerous precedent by: 1) demonizing Hindus and Indians; 2) undermining U.S. - India relations; and 3) ignoring the plight of persecuted religious minorities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan who have sought refuge in India.
This letter is thus critical to educating the City Council and other policymakers on the issues of importance to our community, and to ensure that they take our issues seriously both today and in the future.
Please click here to view the letter.
And fill out this Google Form to sign on to the letter.
By filling out the form, you authorize us to list your organizational or individual information (only information specified below) publicly for the purpose of this letter only. We will not use your information for any other purpose. A final version of the coalition letter will be sent to you.
Deadline: Sunday, 2/2/20 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time.
