If you've already called your Representative, please call again to make sure they got the message. If you haven't called yet, please call TODAY.
Did you know that a US government body commissioned an anti-India terrorist sympathizer to write an official report on religious freedom in India?
It’s true. Call your US Representative today to let them know this is unacceptable.
In February, the US Commission on International Freedom (USCIRF) published Constitutional and Legal Challenges Faced by Religious Minorities in India, a special report authored by Dr. Iqtidar Karamat Cheema, an activist who has publicly endorsed terrorist movements active in India in Kashmir and Punjab. And the organizations that he works for has been banned by Israel and had funding revoked by the UK.
How did this happen?
We don’t know. HAF has made multiple inquiries to USCIRF and has been repeatedly stonewalled.
So, we went to Congress...and now we need you to contact your Representative.
Representative Tulsi Gabbard is asking her colleagues to sign on to a letter of inquiry to USCIRF. She wants USCIRF to explain:
- 1. Their relationship with Dr. Cheema
- 2. The process they used to vet him
- 3. Whether they knew about his support of terrorist movements and if so, why they still allowed him to author the report
Call your Representative and ask them to sign Rep. Gabbard’s letter. The deadline to sign the letter is this Friday, June 30th.
