Hello everyone!
So excited about the 5th Annual Holiday Market!! It's going to be a great event. Again, it will be held Sunday, December 7 from 10-5 at the Westchase Golf Club. We decided at the meeting to have a "Best of Show" juried prize for artists only. Also, all artists in our group can raffle off a piece of their artwork for Autism Speaks, directly at your own table. We will have a sign indicating this at the front. Not only a great way to earn money for our nonprofit, but encourages people to walk around and see the various artists who are participating - primarily our group artists!
I spoke with many of you at the meeting this past Tuesday. For those of you who weren't there, here is what I need from each of you RIGHT NOW:
1. Please send me an email if you plan to participate in the Market. Include whether you want an indoor space, outdoor space, or a tent space. Do you need a table (provided by the club for free) or electricity? Your fee is $40, electric is $10 extra.
2. Please post on your website, blog, facebook page that we are looking for artists for our event on Dec. 7. People can go to the website and click on the "Holiday Market" tab. The registration should be up and running by tomorrow - Friday.
3. Think about people you know who might want to donate their time for entertainment. We are always looking for musicians, face painters, etc. who might add something to the event. We will create a schedule with live events for the day. These events draw families.
4. This weekend I plan to send out a letter which you can forward to people in your circle who might be willing to donate a substantial gift to our raffle. In addition to our artist raffles, we will have a front table with a limited number of raffles that we hope will be one or two-item raffles. Less, but more meaty, if you will. You may know someone who has a timeshare they might be willing to donate for a weekend, someone who works at a hotel who has a connection for a getaway, a restaurant, etc. All proceeds from these raffles go to Autism Speaks, so this is a great opportunity for someone to make a larger donation to a good cause.
I appreciate all your help, as always!
