First Friday

Tomorrow -- Friday, February 7 -- we will be participating in the First Friday event in Westchase Town Center. Your help would be greatly appreciated if you can spare a couple hours.

We will begin setting up our tent near Maloney's around 3:30-3:45PM as the street is usually blocked to traffic around 4PM. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the shopping area or in an adjacent parking lot. We will be working on a hand/heart card keepsake which the children can draw on or decorate. The event ends around 9PM. Susan has picked up lights that we can use to enable the children to work after dark. Since the children have off from school for Fair Day, we might end up being busier than usual so extra help is welcome.

As of today, the following artists have agreed to participate:

Vanessa Montenegro (after 5PM)

Teresa Trubilla

Judy Freeman (maybe?)

Please let me know if your plans have changed or if anyone else is able to offer a couple hours of help. First Friday is a nice family event and it is very rewarding to spend time with area children as they create something special. Plus, the donations we receive from parents can help finance a group field trip or other activity this year.

Hello Westchase Artist Society,
I wanted to take his time to formally let everyone know that I am unable to rejoin the society this year. As of a few days ago I have arrive in my new home, San Francisco! Time has been short with this move and I regret not being able to say goodbye to the friends I have made. But I wish everyone the best and great success with their art and more.
