Dear SEPAC members,
It has been a pleasure serving as your President and Vice President for the last (almost) two years. It is important for an organization like SEPAC to rotate leadership so that the group continues to grow and support our members in its mission. Lori’s husband has recently received a job offer out of state and they will be relocating in two short weeks. She is stepping down as Vice President effective immediately.
As many of you know, my son is currently in school out of district and my daughter is also leaving the district this month. I believe firmly that to work effectively SEPAC needs to be run by individuals who have children within the Westborough school system. I do not believe that I can effectively serve our community at this point. Thus, though I will continue to be available and involved, I will be stepping down as President at the end of this year.
SEPAC serves an important function in our community acting as a support system, a source of information and as an official (and state mandated) liaison between parents of students with special education services and the district. We ask you to volunteer for one of the open roles as officers of SEPAC (President, Vice President and Secretary) The great Erin Adderley will be staying on as treasurer. Without your involvement, the organization cannot fulfill its vital role.
Please email me directly (Rache...@gmail.com) if you are interested in filling these roles or in helping SEPAC in any way that you can.
Sincerely,
Rachel Gans-Boriskin (and Lori Deluca)
