Brain Imaging: A Research Study for Boys with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or
Typical Development

Neuroimaging Correlates and their Association with Emotional Recognition
Accuracy and Social Functioning in Adolescents with Autism.

What are we studying?

In this study we are using Brain Imaging to elucidate the neural circuitry
involved in social relevant stimuli in adolescents with ASD and how this may
differ from typically developing adolescents. We aim to establish functional
neural correlates for the deficits in social processing seen in ASD to add
to our understanding of the neurocircuitry of this disorder overall.

Who can participate?

Participants in this questionnaire based study must meet specific
eligibility criteria including:

* Males between 13 and 17 who have Autism, Asperger's Disorder or
Pervasive Developmental Disorder NOS
* Males between 13 and 17 who are typically developing
* Males who have an IQ over 70

How will participants be compensated?

Study participants may receive, at no cost:

* Compensation for time and travel
