Hello SEPAC Members,
Lori and I understand that everyone in our group has full lives (almost by definition of being members) and that committing to a volunteer position can seem like a lot. We are disappointed that no one volunteered, but certainly understand that volunteering can seem daunting. However, as we mentioned before, running SEPAC in its full form is simply too much for us to do alone. We are calling on people to volunteer in smaller capacities- perhaps agreeing to organize coffees or parent nights out. For our part, Lori and I will stay on for an additional year, maintaining the FB page and the website, hosting the beginning of the year meeting and then perhaps one or two parent nights out. This is all we can do. SEPAC is a state mandated organization and it is important for there to be an organized parental voice to consult with the district on special education issues. Please consider stepping up for this year or perhaps for next. The future of SEPAC depends on your involvement. If you wish to volunteer, please email rache...@gmail.com or loride...@gmail.com.
Best,
Rachel Gans-Boriskin
