Local West African dance and drumming sensation LANNAYA will be headlining at this all-ages festival of music, art and dance on Sunday, November 9th at Opal Divine's at Penn Field. Proceeds from this family-friendly and fun event will go to support the One Village Project, an ongoing youth service project offered free of charge to young peace leaders in the Austin community. The musical line up includes youth who participate in Amala's programs, as well as favorite local acts Much Love, Lannaya, Erik Hokkanen, Laura Freeman and the Tribal Moon Dancers. The event also includes a stunning collection of photography available for purchase, a silent auction, seasonal gifts, and arts and crafts activities for children and the young at heart, which will culminate in a peace art installation.

Tickets are $15 (kids under 12 free), and are available at the door, at the Amala Foundation, and at all Frontgate Tickets outlets. All proceeds from this benefit will go to support the One Village Project, a free program offering peace leadership tools to youth in the Austin community.

About the One Village Project The One Village Project inspires youth ages 11-18 to serve the community as peace leaders by offering opportunities for them to serve others and work together to promote a more peaceful and compassionate world. The sixty participants in the program represent a diverse array of young people, many of whom were born in Africa, Asia and the Middle East and relocated in Austin as refugees of war and persecution. The program encourages healing through communication and self-empowerment, which leads many youth to make positive change in their own lives and families. Click here to learn more!
