 Howell Living History Farm - Maple Sugaring. [Saturday, February 21, 10-4pm] Howell Living History Farm, 70 Woodens Lane, Hopewell Township. The time of freezing nights and thawing days has come...and the smell of maple syrup is in the air! Help farmers collect sap in the woods, make syrup in the sap house, and taste whole wheat pancakes. Lunch will also be available for purchase. Visitors can also learn how to bring the operation into their own backyards, with tree tapping demonstrations. Dress for the job: the work has sweet rewards, but it can be muddy, icy, and windy in the sugar bush. Details.   Details 


 History is not Complete until Every Story is Told - Men W/O Shoes. [Saturday, February 21, 10-4pm] Morven Museum and Garden, 55 Stockton Street, Princeton. At least fourteen Black men fought alongside General George Washington to secure a crucial victory in the Battle of Princeton. Students from Foundation Academies in Trenton have been engaged in research to uncover the identities of these men. The project, which grew from a collaboration with the Princeton Battlefield Society, culminates at Morven with a striking art installation of student-created works that reflect the resilience, sacrifice, and legacy of Black soldiers in war.   See the Flier  Details 


 Four Centuries of Black Soldiers - A Living History Program. Meet Soldier Re-enactors from the American Revolution to the World Wars. [Saturday, February 21, 10-4pm] Trent House Museum, 15 Market Street, Trenton. A living history program that tells the heroic stories of America’s black warriors spanning four hundred years until today. The program includes authentic military artifacts, re-enactors, and military veterans sharing their own personal stories. As visitors move from room to room in the historic house, they will be able to interact with the re-enactors, hear stories of actual soldiers who served, and examine items of military life from each period of military history.   See the Flier  News Release  (a Heritage Event)
