Extreme Heat Advisory Issued for Friday, July 25Trenton, N.J. – Due to temperatures exceeding 90 °F on Friday, July 25, 2025, the City of Trenton is issuing an extreme heat advisory. The cooling center at the Sam Naples Community Center (611 Chestnut Ave) will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and the Jennye Stubblefield Senior Center (301 Prospect Street) will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Residents can also cool off at our city pools at the following locations: - Hetzel Pool - 190 North Olden Ave
- Cooper Pool - 396 Union St.
- Martin Luther King Jr. - 347 Brunswick Ave
- Father Rocco - 1501 New Willow St.
- Roberto Clemente - 342 Academy St.
The City of Trenton advises residents to drink plenty of fluids, avoid prolonged exposure to the sun, wear light-colored and/or loose-fitting clothing, and most importantly, check on relatives, friends, and elders. It is also crucial to never leave young children and pets in unattended vehicles, as car interiors can reach lethal temperatures within minutes.
