Heating/Cooling system in units

The association is sometimes asked if we have instructions for the thermostats at WTC that may assist residents.

We have a very basic sheet of instructions that covers ONLY the original thermostats that were initially installed at WTC. If you or a previous owner have replaced your unit's thermostat, then these instructions will not apply to your thermostat.

In addition, we remind everyone that maintenance of your unit's cooling equipment (and its heating equipment) is the responsibility of unit owners. If you turn on your air conditioner in this weekend's heat and find the unit needs work, it is the owner's responsibility to select and arrange for a repair person.

WE HAVE NO INFORMATION ON THE MOST EFFICIENT SETTING FOR HEATING OR COOLING EQUIPMENT. "Efficiency" depends on the state of your own equipment and several other factors. You will have to experiment to see what works best for you.

If you do find that your air conditioning equipment needs attention, WTC will assist with unlocking circuit-breaker boxes as needed for any repairs to be made. Just let us know.
