Howdy,
We are excited to share an upcoming professional learning opportunity from our colleagues at Texas A&M AgriLife Extension that may be of interest to STEM educators who incorporate environmental science, plant science, sustainability, or garden-based learning into their classrooms or programs.
The Virtual Junior Master Gardener (JMG) National Teacher/Leader Training will take place February 17–18, 2026 and is a 1.5-day online conference. Participants can earn up to 26 CPE hours, and all registered attendees will have access to the session recordings for four months following the event.

Keynote Speakers:

Jazmin Albarran – Executive Director - Seed Your Future – Organization partnering nationally with horticulture businesses and groups to promote careers in horticulture, internships for youth, resources and grants for leaders/teachers. Her extensive experience in youth development and workforce development allows her to promote and expand career opportunities in plant science throughout the United States.

Marta McDowell – Landscape History/Horticulture Instructor - New York Botanical Garden and popular lecturer and writer. She is a New York times-bestselling author of “All the Presidents’ Gardens, “Beatrix Potter’s Gardening Life”, and many more historically inspired garden themed books.
