We are thrilled to share that President Joe Biden has selected The GEMS Camp (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science) for the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring (PAESMEM). The GEMS Camp is led by Saki Milton and champion of minoritized girls in the state of Texas.

This national honor, awarded by the National Science Foundation and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, recognizes our significant contributions to mentoring underrepresented students and fostering the next generation of STEM leaders. Since 2010, The GEMS Camp has been dedicated to empowering middle school girls from marginalized communities through innovative STEM programming, leadership development, and mentorship.

We want to take this moment to express our deepest gratitude to our Texas friends, partners, supporters, and volunteers whose unwavering commitment to our mission has made this achievement possible.
