NWS Survey with aviation questions

[NWS Lubbock - Joe]

Hi all,
Four items:

1. The NWS in Lubbock is planning an Open House event on September 20th.  More detail will be upcoming on our web page at http://weather.gov/lubbock

2. The current plan is to have our annual aviation safety workshop in January of 2015 just as we did last year.  More detail will be forthcoming later this year.

3. As far as I know, we (NWS Lubbock) will likely begin providing a TAF for KPVW (Plainview Texas) around the end of November.  When I get the official yea/nay word from the FAA, I'll share more about this.

4. I'd like to offer you the opportunity to take part in an NWS sponsored survey.  This survey comes from way above our pay grade, but it offers you the opportunity to provide feedback for the national NWS suite of services.  If you want to make suggestions and have someone (who will report to upper management) look at them, get your two bits in.  There is a specific Aviation section which you may particularly interested in completing.
