I've added a few capabilities which may help your flight planning, whether you're shooting approaches or just hanging in a basket under a balloon.
The following items are listed under each airport ID.
- Vertical Wind Profile -- Provides a look at the forecast wind speed and direction for the lowest 2000 or so feet of the atmosphere. Just imagine how much easier it will be to track a radial if you know the expected wind speed and direction on the approach! Also check the low level winds to find a finer resolution forecast (than the GFS model based flight level winds) both in area and time.
- Tactical Decision Aid -- A graphical depiction of the TAF and METAR observations along with tools for crosswind component and much more.
