AARP Tax-Aide Seeks Volunteers for 2013

This year, AARP Tax-Aide, the nation's largest free, volunteer-run tax assistance and preparation service is seeking volunteers for tax assistance/preparation and leadership coordinators. Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds are welcome. Each year from February 1st through April 15th,, AARP Tax-Aide volunteers prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for low and middle income taxpayers, with special attention to those age 60 and older. Volunteers are especially needed to assist with electronic filing of tax returns. You do not need to be an AARP member or retiree to volunteer. If sufficient volunteers are recruited, West Sacramento will be a site for this free service in 2013. Training may be in person or online.
