Philippians 4:13

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

John 15:11

I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Background:

My name is Princess Viola Awid (Shepherdess Joy), I am already 20 years old, born on February 23, 1992 in Dumaguete City, Philippines. I am the youngest and the only daughter of the family. While I was in my mother’s womb, my parent’s get separated, that is why my uncle decided to support my studies. I am now a 4th year Pharmacy student of Our Lady of Fatima University.

When I was 11 years old they took me here in Manila to study. At first it was hard for me to adjust because I am longing for my mother’s presence. That is how I became quiet, shy and very emotional type of person.

EMOTIONAL! Well I guess that’s the best word that would describe me. I used to be worried about everything around me, most especially school, family, friends and even money. But when all this things fails, it frustrates me and blame God. I cursed and planned that one day I will avenge anyone whom persecutes me. I’ll always ask God “Why?”, “Why me?”, “Why do I have this?” or “Why don’t I have this?” I always tell Him “I don’t deserve to be in this place, that there is somebody who deserves to suffer than me”. These is why I always trying to end up my life. I became spiritually blind to see God’s love and grace on me.

Major Spiritual Influence: “My Dearest Ignite Family”

When I saw this group of people, they just mean nobody to me. But when I get to be part of this group of people, they mean somebody, for they became a family to me. Before I thought that being a Christian is being pure and blameless person. But when I get to know them, I found out that Christians are also sinful person just like me, but it differs on how they face the reality of being a Christian. They struggle, but they fight struggles with joy in their heart. They were persecuted, but they accept persecutions with peace in their mind.

This family was used by God to change me.

They help me to know God, and when I get to know God, I stand on Him, after I stand, I became His follower, after I follow, I became a servant, and by serving God, I am now committed to Him.

Because of this commitment, I received my crowning glory here on earth as what God promised me. And that is HIS LOVE and JOY that always been with me all throughout my journey.

Dreams/Goals in following Christ:

Being a Shepherdess Joy, my goal is to share to my fellow sheep’s/students the unshaken JOY and GRACE that GOD gave me, for HE did not teaches us to become self-righteous but to “Love your neighbor as yourself” (James 2:8). I want to show them how the grace of GOD work mightily on me and how the holy spirit moved me. Through sharing the words of GOD, I hope and I pray that I could help them to more Jesus Christ and fulfill their emptiness and satisfy their thirst.
