MAYDAY!!! Regatta, Sunday 3 May

Guys,

We'll delay our racing day this month until Sunday, 3 May to
accommodate several of our Shanghai members who will be joining us
over the May Day holiday weekend. Am certain we'll have a few boats
out Saturday afternoon & racing on Sunday with 5-6 one meters in the
fleet. And as last time we'll have kayaks & canoes out for paddling
on Tiger Hole.

For those of you who hail from or have a spouse from the distant lands
of Ukraine or Russia, Ian's wife Elena who's from Volgagrad will be
bringing along several friends from Kazakhstan who are visiting them
for the week. Should make for an entertaining time, especially once
the vodka shows up...

In addition to sailing, we'll be going out for dinner both Saturday &
Sunday so I invite anyone who's in town for the weekend to come & join
us. One evening will be at the large collection of outdoor seafood
restaurants north of Dragon Stadium - ummmmm, can anyone say
kegger!!!! - while the other night dedicated to the carnivores in the
group. I've been told that Charly has the perfect place in mind for
the latter. With Maya nearby, I recommend we head there first for
margaritas before dinner.

If you're around, you'll not want to miss out on this weekend of
sailing & fun.

Well folks, it looks like we'll have at least 5 IOM racing this coming
weekend in addition to the Monsoons & ETNZ in the fleet. I'll even
bring along my new junk to show you guys the next class I'm working
on.

Ian & Andreas are coming in from Shanghai so we'll be on the water
Saturday late afternoon & racing all day Sunday. Dinner plans are
confirmed for seafood one night & Charly's meat fest the next.

Best of all, the new highway extension is open connecting Wenyan to
Zheng He Expressway / Fuxing Bridge & I can confirm its possible to
drive from West Lake to Xandau in just over 10 minutes. ;-)
