2009 Sailing Schedule

To make it easier for everyone's schedules to plan for some fun, I
propose we sail together as a group every 2nd & 4th Sunday of each
month with a formal race to be our main focus on the latter day. I
chose Sundays since several of our members work on Saturdays or use
that day for personal business.

MORE Hangzhou is going to start promoting our group's sailing schedule
beginning next week so look for more interest from the local
community. As always, we're out to have fun but I am hoping we can
build a larger pool of those who want to race.

With our growing membership in Shanghai, I envision making a road trip
back to the big city every 6-8 weeks to sail which means setting up a
carpool with those who are up for a drive. I'll defer to Ian on where
we should sail since the only place I've been has been in the river
beside Science & Technology Museum & Century Park.

Until we get a reprieve from the West Lake Authority / HZ Sailing Club
to use Maojiabu, Tiger Hole behind Sofitel Xanadu will be our
designated sailing location. We'll have a dedicated course with
markers on the lake for us to race around starting this week.

In addition to this schedule, we have members here, including myself,
who are always open to get out whenever conditions are right & have
the time. Feel free to use the discussion board here to post your
plans or if you're looking for others to sail with. After all, that's
the primary reason for setting this page up to begin with. ;-)
