I was wondering how things are going with producing the newsletter?

Good question. Sage asked me a few days ago to write to the group about what's happened, so this is my needed nudge.

Unfortunately, after getting the prototype done, getting estimates, working out ad rates, etc. I was greatly slowed down by my head injury. We have dropped plans to publish this spring and are now targeting a fall date.

The production and distribution were falling into place, but we'd still not worked out an editor or editorial council which needs to get done.

At this point, I still plan to work with the Gazette, but I can't fully commit. My head injury has been a concussion and post-concussion syndrome from bashing the right side of my head on the soft spot when running down our steps to get my phone. I've had constant headaches for the past ten weeks as well as some cognitive and balance issues. Organizing thoughts has been difficult and any activity that requires much thinking is challenging. I'd hoped to be fully healed by this point (10 weeks) but obviously that hasn't happened. Having taken this long, it could easily be six months to a year before I've fully recovered.

I'm disappointed this happened when it did.
