Hello Shiva,

I think you should re-consider your OS. Having someone for Exchange support development is very vague. Ideally Finance and TM are your pillars and they should always be. Exchange support is too vast and 1 person will not be able to control or guide everything together. Also QM is a Exchange function and QM and IM have nothing to do with each other. Also Quality should ideally be de centralized and even if not, what does your Exchange Support person's MOS? I have tried Quality being centralized but if you are planning to deliver more than 200 GCDP and GIP experiences in a year, it is practically impossible for one person to track and also the learning for that person is minimal.

This is just a personal thought though.

Hello Somesh,

I accept the points you have mentioned and agree to an extent. This OS was majorly designed by us collectively to ensure that every portfolio has one VP considering what our past experiences have been in the EB and it is very bad. We have noticed that CO-VPs often have problems and clashes because a lot of splits (according to the LC realities) which needs to happen in the market and stakeholders. I have noticed that single VP handling a portfolio has resulted for better output and efficient performance with having a MB/TLs body little more extended. Also this was mainly considered because we have a very efficient MB who is ready to take the portfolio up keeping the 2013 goals of AIESEC Indore.

About tracking the performance and growth I do agree your point and shall discuss the same with my successor. I hope I tried my best to answer your concern. Thanks a ton for the thoughts :)

Good Luck.

Hello,

I agree with all of that. Your Programme OS is fine, it is just the Function OS that I was talking about. The exchange support director is what the concern is. All the functions are too diverse and different and all of them require specific skills and expertise. Your exchange support director will only contribute to 1 or 2 portfolios because 1 person cannot have an understanding of all of it.

Ok I got the point now. I think I will revise it once with Indraneel and then confirm it. May be having 1 VP for M & IM and other for ARM & QM. That should sort everything. Though a addition in the EB but its Ok :P

Thanks a ton Sirji :D

Hi Shail,

Here is the OS for AIESEC NM in 2013.

VP iGIP
VP ET
VP iGCDP
VP oGIP and SU (DY Patil University)
VP oGCDP
VP MIM
VP BD - Stakeholder Management and Adhoc
VP BD - Events and Projects
VP F
VP Talent Marketing
VP Talent Development

I think the only explanation required here is with TM, so here goes:
> Navi Mumbai has just 2 non-engineering colleges. Just about 10% of our current membership are non-engineers/architects/medical students and the LC goes dead for 1.5 months in both halves during peak operations.
> Marketing can support recruitment only during peak recruitment cycles and get us the reach through YE - which is eventually of no use because even if I recruit 500 engineers the LC will go dead. I cannot carry out the direct promotion in a Mumbai college.
> Hence most my reach needs to come through AM, campus ambassadors and other growth drivers to boost TMP/TLP (From about 150/45 to 500/170 in 2013)

Role and MoS:

Talent Marketing
- Talent Marketing (Campaigns, Associate Membership, College Ambassadors)
- Create, track and implement TMP/TLP growth drivers
- External Partnerships [in case of specialized recruitment]
Individual MoS - EWA to ELD

Talent Development
- TM processes
- LEAD
- TMP/TLP Tracking and Management
Individual M.O.S:
- TMP/TLP driving growth in operations
 - TMP/TLP – R-M-R
 - Efficiency
- Retention
- No. of people applying to Leadership Roles
- Quality Ranking (NPS Score)

Collective MoS:
- Boost GCDP and GIP

Let me know what you guys think.

Thank you!

Sorry for the late reply.
Here we are looking for the flat OS and there are no major innovations in portfolio. Job roles to cover a lot of grey areas and OS to support capacity building will be will be reflected in the Middle Level Management.

VP iGCDP
VP oGCDP
VP iGIP
VP oGIP
VP F
VP TM
VP BD
VP MIM
VP Expansions

I would love some feedback and perspective about a designated person for EWA on the Executive Board and anything  else.

Hope to hear soon.

Cheers

Hello Shyam,

I would like to add a point that their needs to be 2 VPs for iGCDP considering the fact that is one sector Ahmadabad is growing massively. Tracking Finance, Quality and delivery would make it little smoother if their is 2 VPs. Also would you like to share why is the reason to keep the structure flat?
