RIGCAA NEW BOARD, SEPTEMBER 3, 2011
The history of our people, the people of Geepoland was not, is not and shall never be attained from a precipitation of a dark cloud. It has, it is and shall continuously be derived from unbearable but willing sacrifices of a people determined to chart a new course of life and strive towards a destiny for a new day where level playing field will serve as a pivot for their amelioration, peace and security.
The quest for the aforesaid, led to the founding of our county on March 20, 2000 and a subsequent establishment of its satelight not for profit agency known as the River Gee County Association in the Americas, interchangeably RIGCAA, was founded on April 19, 2000.
,
With a foreseable time to test the fate of our people and county,we noticed BUT rejected
an expectation of many who wished not well of our county that soon and very soon a palpable cloud of darkness manifesting itself in crisis, sectionalism and division would have by the sound of an early morning song of a dodo bird overshadowed Geepoland. And that the true sons and daughters of "Quayee Choloply's land" would have lost hope thereby asking Moses to take them back to Egypt.
Howbeit, great inovation and blessings have been bestowed upon us by the God of all mercies by bringing men and women of conscious and love for RIGCAA and Geepoland into the leadership of RIGCAA. From leadership to leadership since April 19, 2011 with Alphonso Tarue and Kirkpatrick Weah, the Occidental Stars of RIGCAA, hope was not and is never dashed to contribute our quota to the development of our county.
As a writer once said, life is like a stage where one plays his part and leave. Tonight, Alphonso Tarue and his Board depart with "footprints on a sands of time" when he presents a Greek monument of final verdict to the newly elected Board of RIGCAA by 10:00 p.m. September 3, 2011.
While a special tribute awaits one of the Occidental Stars of RIGCAA, Mr. Alphonso Tarue, Chair of the Board Emeritus, River Gee Press congratulates the new Board namely:
1. Mr. David Johnson, Chair
2. Mr. Urial Kear, Co-chair
3. Mr. George Nagbe Member and President Emeritus and Occidental Star, RIGCAA, PA
4. Mr. Chenapoe Wesseh, Jr, the first member of the Board representing the youth
5. Mr. Jerome Koon, Member
6. Mr. Alfred David, Member
7. Mr. Harry Choloplay, Member
May they uphold the constitution of RIGCAA and all other laws apertaining to non-profit organizations in the U.S.
Kirkpatrick Weah
Managing Director, RGP and Founding Chair, RIGCAA.
