My dear Gbeapo citzens,
I am pleased to have you informed that the demand of our people at home and abroad to have all Gbeapo towns placed in Gbeapo District was honored by the National Elections Commission. It was announced on July 8, 2011 by NEC. This has increased registered voters in Gbeapo District to 4,160 people. Mr. Johnson Toe Chea has received massive support from Chedepo District for helping to advocate for a new clinic upon request by the people. A known Teacher Poe is one of the campaign staff for Mr. Johnson Chea in Chedepo.
Mr. Johnson Toe Chea has been given a white ballot by the people of Gbeapo. Johnson is therefore above all other candidates in Electoral District # 1, formerly Electoral District number Two.
The people of Nyanwliken have also given white ballot to Philbert Toe. Please note that Nyanwliken was known as lower Gbeapo District which comprised of Joqueken, Kiliken, Pawloken, Tartuken, Tarken, Sweaken, and Pronoken.
Meanwhile, the number of students who passed the University of Liberia and other higher institutions has increased than ever before. Report says, Gbeapo District has the highest number of students at the University of Liberia, AME Zion University,Cuttingtonm and Tubman University. It maintains the #1 at TNIMA among Geepo nursing students.
Out of 83 graduates from Gbeapo Central High in 2011, almost 60% of them were Gbeapo students, the same as 2010 graduates.
Education is and must always be the pride of Gbeapo people. Our district does not have much natural resources like other districts in River Gee. Our only pride is education as stated by the late Hon. Joe Geleplay.
Let us call home and support Johnson Chea and Philbert Toe.
Kirkpatrick Weah
