Thank you all for coming together to make this happen. While this is a small pilot, we know that big things often begin with small, intentional steps.
Thanks to the support of Hilltop Hanover, the Bionutrient Food Association, Our New Way Gardens, Dig Farm, the Free People’s Market, Douglass DeCandia, and Fatima Ashraf—Noah’s Backyard Tomatoes is now a reality.
And of course, a special thank you to Noah for the inspiration!
Our first step begins this Tuesday, May 20th, with the distribution of tomato-growing kits at the Free People’s Market at the Dole Center.
I’ve attached the flyers that will go in the kits, along with the general flyer for the market tomorrow.
If you’re in the Mount Vernon area, please consider stopping by around 1:30 PM to share the joy, meet the community, and take something home to grow.
