On behalf of the planning team for the Annual Lower Hudson Valley Social Forum, I am pleased to say that we are so looking forward to welcoming you all this Sunday!
You are welcome to stop by the Art Build on Friday anytime between 5pm and 8 p.m. at the WESPAC office. We will be making posters, signs and more.
I sent a separate email to everyone who is tabling on Sunday.
If you are not tabling:
Please plan to arrive at the WESPAC office by 10:45am as we get ready for our colorful People's Parade! We will be joined by the Rude Mechanical Orchestra, Veterans for Peace and high school youth. It is a customary and invigorating way to start our day! Directions to the office can be found here and please note that free parking is available on all three levels of the WESPAC parking lot for the entire day. It is a 7 minute brisk walk from the WESPAC office to the county center and we will march more slowly in the parade taking around 20 to 25 minutes. Once we arrive at the county center, everyone will register here. If you want to park closer to the county center, park here on County Center Lane behind the county center but arrive early as those spots fill quickly.
Once we arrive at the county center, lunch and networking will be waiting for us in the Little Theater on the third floor. Turn right when you enter the building toward either the elevator or the stairs. WESPAC will provide lunch for everyone! The caterer will provide veggie wraps, mozarella and tomato wraps, salad, pasta salad, chips, cookies, soda, water, tea and coffee provided by the Westchester County Center caterer. There is also a filtered water machine on the ground floor next to Meeting Rooms A, B, C and D (where half of the breakout sessions will be) so please bring your reusable water containers to stay hydrated all day! Please note that 44 organizations have signed up to table.
The formal networking hour will be from 11:45am to 1pm in the Little Theater on the third floor. The opening plenary session will start at 1pm right there in the same space, the Little Theater. Most of tabling will be in the Little Theater Room. The planning team tables and a few others will need to be on the first and second level of the county center. The break out sessions will start at 2:15pm promptly and we will close back in the Little Theater altogether at 4pm with report backs from each breakout session.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask/email!
See you all very soon!
Warmly,
Nada
