Dear friends, As we enter the final weeks of the year and the heart of the holiday season, I've been reflecting on all we've accomplished together and what's ahead. Your generosity has allowed Glynwood to show up for farmers and families in meaningful ways. With just a few weeks left in 2025, your support can have an immediate impact. Whether ensuring access to fresh, local food or training the next generation of farmers, your partnership sustains this work. Thank you for being part of the Glynwood community. I hope your holiday season is full of rest, connection, and, of course, good food! Warmly, Zoraida P.S. Bringing Glynwood to your holiday table? Send us a photo of any dish you made using Farm Store or CSA ingredients by replying to this email. We love seeing how our community brings farm fresh ingredients to life and will share the images on Instagram! |

With just weeks left in the year, your support can make an immediate difference in the lives of farmers and families across the Hudson Valley. Recent tax law changes mean that making a gift before December 31st could maximize your tax benefit. If you have a donor-advised fund (DAF), now is an ideal time to consider making grants to Glynwood. You'll receive the tax benefit under 2025's more favorable rules while supporting our work—from ensuring community members can access fresh, local food, to training the next generation of farmers through equitable apprenticeships, to strengthening our regional food system. |

We're looking for a Farm Store Coordinator to join the Glynwood team! Reporting to the Farm Store Manager, this role welcomes visitors to Glynwood's farm store, giving them access to the varied bounty of the region and educating them on the work that Glynwood is doing to change the food system. The position involves all aspects of operating the farm store including point of sale, inventory, ordering, and staffing. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone passionate about local food, sustainable agriculture, and community engagement. |

This month, we gathered for our last Farm Dinner of the year to honor Danielle and Gabrielle Davenport of BEM | books & more—two visionaries whose work lifts up Black storytelling, foodways, and creative expression across the diaspora. Their brilliance, warmth, and generosity filled the room, and we were so grateful to share space in celebration of their work. If you don't already know the Davenports' work, we highly encourage you to explore BEM—a new literary home celebrating the depth and breadth of Black food cultures. And as you're doing your holiday shopping, we encourage everyone to check out BEM books for meaningful gifts that honor and celebrate Black culinary traditions and stories. Thank you to everyone who joined us—for your support, and your belief in building a food system rooted in community and care. |

At Glynwood, we're using tarping, not chemicals, to transform a weedy patch across from our Farm Store into a thriving pollinator meadow. Glynwood is partnering with PollinateHV, an initiative of Partners for Climate Action, on an exciting two-year project to create native pollinator meadows and plant native flowering trees on our farm. We've laid tarps to smother invasive plants and over the next year, the tarps will do the hard work of preparing this land for a biodiverse mix of native grasses and flowers. Next time you visit, look for the black tarp, it's laying the groundwork (literally!) for a future full of bees, butterflies, and blooms. 🐝 PCA's PollinateHV initiative provides free resources to help Hudson Valley residents, gardeners, farmers, and land stewards create habitat for threatened native pollinators. Learn more at PollinateHV.org. This work is supported by the Office of the New York State Attorney General, the New York Pollinator Conservation Fund, and The New York Community Trust. |
