Clipgrab noted youtube url in clipboard memory, but the notification msg when clicked does nothing to download the video.
I used this app on manjaro before, it can monitor clipboard for video url to download .
When it has noticed the existance of video url, it will post a msg at the bottom right . when i click on the msg, it will start to download the video from the url.
On Endea, this msg is not clickable; no matter you i clicked on it, it does not download. And there is nothing in clipgrab setting that can help.
or use my solution here. If you are confused by that, just ignore this, chances are it does not apply to you. Unless you manually installed zsh, you are using bash as your shell, because that is the default on Arch. If you are not sure which shell you are using, the echo $SHELL command will tell you.
Alternatively you can add ppa:clipgrab-team/ppa to your system's Software Sources in the Ubuntu Software-Center. If you want to upgrade your system, please remove clipgrab and clipgrab-team/ppa first.
Each time one tries te remove/delete this clipgrab programme it reaches the trashcan but this can't be emtied. The message appears it can't be done because an element of clipgrab is in use. The programme has been closed, but this still happens. (When one uses the setting 'symbols' en strange rectangle portraying the start up panel - when one is asked to drag the application icon to the applications folder - appears in the left top corner as a background???) How can one remove the clipgrab from the macbookpro without reinstalling the whole system?
Since 5.8.2011 clipgrab is unable to retrieve any video from youtube, they seems to have a change in their api. Clipgrab is analyzing the link and displays "could not retrieve video link" There is no further output when started from a terminal.
