Purple Flappy Bird is an arcade-style game in which the player controls purple bird, which moves to the right. The player's task is to navigate the Bird through pipes that are placed at random heights. Purple Flappy Bird automatically descends.

Hour of Code: Data Bit Compression At some point we reach a physical limit of how fast we can send bits, and if we want to send a large amount of information faster, we have to find a way to represent the same information with fewer bits - we must compress the data. In this hour of code activity, participants will use the Text Compression Widget to compress segments of English text by looking for patterns and substituting symbols for larger patterns of text. This session will be Monday June 7th at 1p.m., and is for youth ages 12-17
Backyard Olympics Join Heather and Becca in a fun-filled workshop where you can learn how to create games and activities in your backyard with things you have around your house! Thanks for the information. The issue with access to some of the Unit 4 Challenge documents has been reported. Are you able to access the How-To Guide for Online Challenges? It includes several other documents that will support your planning for the final project including a template and a rubric.
I actually like using code.org, recently there was a star wars game that the kids love. For this unit I plan on using the flappy bird application. I am going to have the kids design a level then have them challenge other students. the programming is very similar to sctracth
