Gameplay follows on the traditional gameplay of the series, in which teams of worms take turns to use a variety of weapons and items in order to eliminate the opposing teams. The game is now presented in a 2.5D style, with the classic 2D gameplay presented with 3D visuals. New to the game is a stronger emphasis on dynamic physics. Unlike previous games in which water was limited to the bottom of the stage, there are now several areas throughout the level where pools of water can be found. By blowing up the environment, players can set loose this water and wash away opponents. Being covered will cause worms to slowly drown as opposed to instantly dying, though falling off the bottom of the stage will still cause instant death. New weapons, such as the water pistol, also incorporate these water physics. Certain objects are also affected by physics, with certain abilities such as Telekinesis taking advantage of it.

Another new addition to the series is the inclusion of four different classes; Soldier, Scout, Scientist and Heavy. Soldiers follow the standard template with all-round stats. Scouts are able to move and jump quicker and fall further before taking damage, but have less powerful attacks. Scientists can produce better weapons and equipment and award the other worms on the team a health bonus when their turn comes around. Finally, Heavies are slow moving, but have more powerful attacks and can take more damage. The game features options for single player, multiplayer and online play. There are also various customization options for changing worm appearances, match rules, weapon loadouts and stage appearances.[1]

Enter the world of artillery gameplay that changed the world. Choose one of the game modes and lead your army of worms to win on every map. You'll find new maps, physics objects, weapons, and more! Your mission will be to move soldiers to ensure an advantage on the battlefield. Plan your attacks and moves to destroy your opponent! In the arsenal of weapons, you will find many deadly tools with which you will kaboom half the map and ensure victory.

In the Worms Revolution video game, you will discover the different classes of worms: Soldier, Ranger, Scientist, and Scout. Each of them has its own skills that can prove priceless in combat. Decide the arrangement of your army and use the best features of your worms. Personalize their appearance with cosmetic accessories and make them one of a kind. The gameplay also features brand-new landscapes to enrich your strategic experience.

It is the first Fourth Generation Wormns game, introducing a new art style, and many new weapons and features, with the most notable being the introduction of a brand new engine. The new engine renders the game's 2D environment in 3D (2.5D), and is capable of advanced water physics; which allows for the generation of water pools above the actual water level. Another new feature is Physics Objects, which can be inert, or contain water, fire or poison. Worms Revolution also introduced classes, which enables specific worms to have specific abilities. It features some of the classic Worms weapons, such as the Super Sheep and the Holy Hand Grenade. Lastly, it also features smoother, more traceable deformation.

The Scientist is the one with a big cranium. While he is alive all worms on that team will get 5 health per turn. He can also make enhanced versions of Electromagnets and Sentry Guns. The downside is that he isn't a front-line fighter.

The Heavy is a big bulky worm which is very slow. He can however not be moved easily and can knock worms back far. The Heavy will also deal more damage with weapons such as Grenades, Bazookas, Homing Missiles, etc.

The Soldier:The soldier is essentially the bulk of the army. He's simplest class, as he has no real differences from the worms of the previous games. The fact that he is an all-rounder and has no specific features really counts as both an upside and a downside.

You can complete this in private matches with one other player. You have to kill them through your actions, however, as having your partner surrender or jump in the water does not count toward your kills. Until you unlock all of your worms needed for "Class Act" you should play ranked games as each victory will earn you 80 credits. Once you are at a point of only needing kills, note that this achievement is for worms killed, not enemy worms... Create a private match using the achievement game settings from the road map on a Single Island or Two Island map, and pile all 8 worms (4 from you, 4 from your partner) into one big pile. Drop the Concrete Donkey on top and you will get 8 kills in a hurry.

There are four classes of worms: Scientist, Scout, Soldier, and Heavy. Under the Customization menu you can purchase new worms using in-game currency. Once you have acquired four of each of the four classes of worms, the achievement will unlock. You start with four soldiers already, so you only need to purchase scouts, scientists, and heavies.

The first worm of each class costs 80 credits, the second costs 160 credits, the third costs 240 credits, and the fourth 320 credits. This adds up to 2400 credits you will need to unlock this achievement. You start with 800 credits, so you will need to earn 1600.

For the training (Sewer) levels, you will earn 10 credits for each level the first time you play them. This is not a bad idea if you are new to the Worms franchise. However, repeating levels doesn't provide more credits. The fastest way to earn credits is to find a partner and play ranked online games. You need 300 online kills for "Worminator", so you might as well earn credits while you are at it. Each online ranked win earns you 80 credits while a loss earns you 40 credits.

Start a local versus Deathmatch with three clones using your Achievements game settings from the road map. Ensure that you use either the Single Island map template. When teleporting your worms in, place your first one off to the side and then all of the clones and yours in a pile in the middle of the screen, preferably in an area where an explosion will tend to funnel the worms back into the same location such as a crater or a deep body of water. On your first turn, press , choose the Concrete Donkey, and then press to use it on your pile of worms. Note that it is rather huge and will destroy all of the terrain, crates, worms and objects from the top of the screen to the bottom where you drop it, in a column that takes up roughly a quarter of the map. You can easily do 2-3,000 damage with this method. If you have not yet unlocked it, "Asinus" will also unlock.

There are four types of physics objects: Inert, Poison, Explosive, and Water Releasing. Inert objects simply disappear when destroyed, Poison objects release clouds of green poison gas, Explosive objects blow up causing large amounts of damage, and Water Releasing objects release water that can cause nearby worms to move downhill.

You may get this just playing normally, especially if you go through training. In the campaign, the easiest way to ensure you don't miss any objects is to play the Physics Objects level in the Sewers, in which you have to blow up objects to complete the level. From the Main Menu, select Single Player, Campaign, Sewers, and press :rb: three times. The title of the level should be "Training 4: Physics Objects." It should take less than five minutes to complete.

If you choose not to play the campaign, you should still get this without any conscious effort. When using the Concrete Donkey to get kills, you will destroy large parts of the map, including physics objects. If for some reason this has not unlocked when you get to working on "Worminator" and "Wormicide", stack the enemy worms on physics objects to save yourself time.

Your worms will take 5 points of damage each turn they are under water, so this can be done with any worm that has at least 26 points of health. On a map with a puddle of water, move your worm so that he is completely immersed and then it is a matter of waiting five turns. Turns include turns by the opponent, so this happens rather quickly.

The achievement unlocks while the game is in progress.

Prior to starting the match, your partner needs to have purchased a scout worm in the Customization menu and added that to his worm lineup. The more they have purchased, the faster this will go. Create a private match and kill all scouts that your partner brings in the game, and then have him surrender. Rinse and repeat until you the achievement unlocks at your tenth scout kill.

This can be done in a private match with one other person, but it is recommended to play ranked matches instead so that you earn credits that you will need to purchase all the worms required. Given the dead servers, it shouldn't be difficult to match up with your partner.

The default worms are soldiers, so this one should come easily while getting your 300 online kills to unlock "Worminator". If it isn't unlocking, ensure your partner selects a formation that includes at least one soldier. Create a private match and kill all soldiers that your partner brings in the game, and then have him surrender. Rinse and repeat until you the achievement unlocks at your tenth soldier kill.

Prior to starting the match, your partner needs to have purchased a heavy worm in the Customization menu and added that to his worm lineup. The more they have purchased, the faster this will go. Create a private match and kill all heavies that your partner brings in the game, and then have him surrender. Rinse and repeat until you the achievement unlocks at your tenth heavy kill.
