Could you tell me what in the silhouette software is needed to get the engraving to work correctly? I have a different cutting program, would like to see if this also has the capabilities.

Thanks for you message, Holly. The end of year deals that started in mid November have recently expired, bringing the street price to around $70. I will update my information and apologize for the confusion. I am not certain when or if we will see the software drop to that price again as the MSRP remains at $99.

Yes, you can do this with SureCutsALot5 plus some external photo editing software or sites. The step by step instructions will not be applicable, but the front section of the book explains the principles that you would need to translate the process to the software you have.

I am so confused. I have the maker. I bought the you ebook. I guess i must be stupid . I need a program to edit the photo before uploaded it into DS. Is that correct;

I would like to take an annotated pgn file, and convert it into an ebook I could conveniently read on amazon kindle (or its pc version), or android/Ios device. It might have to create diagrams where needed and make the book easy to go through without an extra chessboard. It would be good if the output format allowed to upload it to amazon store as well. Does such software/tool exist?

You can export to html/web with most if not all of the major chess database programs (Chessbase, Chess Assistant, SCID). The problem is compiling the html pages into pdf/epub, as the formatting is usually not well-preserved for such conversions, but the book should remain readable with the diagrams. The converters are widely-available however, like Calibre (although I have not used that to convert ebooks specifically, but for managing my book collection)

This may or may not be your cup of tea, but if you are a LaTeX user, then SCID's LaTeX export feature produces ready-to-compile LaTeX source that yields rather nice (IMO) PDFs quickly and painlessly. There are a few options regarding how/whether comments and variations are to be displayed, and diagrams are automatically included wherever you have inserted a diagram NAG D into the game score (which can be inserted the same way that move annotations like !? are when using SCID). You can read pgn files as is on iOS/Android. For iOS, Giordano Vicoli's Chess Studio Light and Chess_Studio can read, and play through annotated pgn files. On Android, Chess PGN Master Pro can read and play through annotated pgn files. Everyman chess sells pgn versions of its books through its iOS/Android Chess Viewer apps.

If you are using Clip Studio Paint EX, you can create your ebook file using a multi page story file. This is what I decided to do. I created a 34 page file with cover pages, because I knew I would need at least 24 internal pages for my project.

Now that we have our art ready we can go to the Clip studio app to share it. From the Clip Studio App, click on Clip Studio Share on the left side. (Also make sure that you are signed in to your free account at the top of the screen!)

Next we need to choose how we will be uploading our work. If you are uploading JPG/PNG files or Webtoon format (vertical scrolling) you should choose Upload From Browser. If uploading a .CLIP file choose Upload a Story.

After clicking OK, Clip Studio Paint EX will go back to the page manager in Clip Studio Paint and show a message that it is exporting data. Depending on the size of your file, your hardware, and your internet connection speed, this may take some time.

Once the program exports the data, it will then upload the data to Clip Studio Share. Your work will not be visible to anyone until after you choose to publish it. This step may also take some time depending on the amount of data.

Once the export and upload finish, we have some information to enter. Type in a title for your work. If your file had cover page data in it, the Thumbnail image will automatically be taken from the front cover. If you want to use a different image, click on the Change button under the thumbnail image to choose another thumbnail.

Cover stiffness is basically the choice between the 3D digital book looking like a paperback or a hardcover book. I chose the Rigid cover because I wanted this to look more like a fancy art book than a comic book.

Clip Studio Share is one of the easiest ways to share your work with not only your social media followers but also the Clip Studio using public in general. Simply create and then share directly from the program if you have EX, or save as individual images files and upload them if you use PRO!
