The screening was excellent!  Thank you somuch for letting us include your art and comedy in our festival.

I apologize for  the late email but I have been ramping up pre production myself and was out in LA at  Paramount studios last weekend.  

I am pleased to let you know We're So Dead won our Lily Tomlin Award for Best Comedy Feature Film. 

We need to have a shipping address to where we can send the award.

I am pleased to inform you that your submission We're So Dead is an official selection for San Antonio QFest 2025 Film Festival!  We are truly honored that you have chosen us to be the standard bearer for your film!  We look forward to presenting it along with our other selections in the year to come.

This decision was very difficult to make.  For the 2025 season we have 20 hours of screening time available for our festival.  We had submissions totaling 60 hours of screening time.  That means we had to decline about half of our submissions from the festival.  This year we had truly amazing submissions.  We are humbled so many filmmakers choose our festival to present their art. 

From my inception of SATX QFest, we have always wanted to be a festival that is an educational festival.  Each film is reviewed by at least one filmmaker and one activist.  We offer our judges feedback as a way to give back to our filmmakers.  If you would like to receive feedback on what the judges felt about your film, please email me back and after we finalize everything, I will collate the information and send it after Nov 1st.  Please be aware, we are all volunteer staff and thus this process does take some time.

Further communication will lay out deadlines for getting us a screening copy of your film as well as locations, hotels, etc.

Please email me any digital advertising media, sizzle reels, etc that we can push to our social media.  If you have any posters etc you would like displayed at the event please mail them to our chairperson, Andrew Leos at 2172 Cherry Blossom Dr, Shertz, TX, 78154.  We have been advised that we will be able to hang movie posters approximately two weeks prior to the festival down the theater hallway!

Please email or physically mail me a digital copy of your film by Sept 15th.  We load all of the films on a hard drive and play them from that hard drive.  If we need to set up a drop box etc, please advise. We only accept .MOV or .MPEG4.  We do not accept DCP files any longer.
