Invitation to AIMA – 38^th National Competition for Young Managers (NCYM)

Greetings from AIMA !

As you are aware that AIMA’s National Competition for Young Mangers (NCYM) is a unique platform for grooming and developing young managers for Tomorrow and is one of its kind in India. Conducted annually since 1974, the competition deliberates on a theme of current managerial interest and national significance. The theme for this year’s NCYM is ”Unleashing innovation across the value chain – A mantra for growth”

Besides, unique exposure and learnings, the competition offers opportunities for a sense of achievement and recognition with several awards and cash prizes !

Key takeaways : -

Ø Provides unique opportunity to Young Managers to demonstrate their creativity, knowledge and professional competence

Ø Build leadership qualities and learn to work as a team

Ø Refine and revalidate their information base and harness their presentation skills

Ø Analyze, evaluate and benchmark their point of view on the topical theme

Ø Over and above help organizations for retention of young talent pool and benchmark with the best

You would be delighted to know that last year over 200 teams from who’s who of India’s corporate organisations participated in the contest.

The competition is held at two levels-Regional and National and is widely covered by print/electronic media throughout the country. The regional competitions are scheduled to be held during July-August, 2012 at New Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. The best two teams from the each region would then compete at the Grand Finale to be held during August at New Delhi for the National Championship.

Knowing your belief in igniting young minds, I am requesting you to kindly encourage them and nominate as many teams as possible for this prestigious Competition from each of your business units and subsidiaries/plants and send your entries as per the schedule of events enclosed.
