There are several ways to get a job as a World Expositions Guide or
Attendant.

1. Apply through your national/state/city Pavilion, if they're
represented.

Contact the Department responsible for representation at World
Expositions and ask them when they're hiring, and who is running the
recruitment. Register your details as soon as possible, and be present
for the interviews, if you're short-listed. Be professional, punctual,
and polite. Be consistent throughout the interview process, be that
one, two or several interviews. Read up on the Pavilion website, or
any information concerning the representation you can. They may ask
you about your knowledge of their project. Good luck!

2. Apply through the Expo Authority.

There will be a plethora of jobs going through the Expo authority,
whether in admin, as a Guide, or whatever. And even as a Guide for the
Expo Authority there may be several divisions, Protocol, Corporate
Visitors, and so on. Make sure you have an eligible visa to work in
that country, as there will be little chance that they will apply for
your Visa on your behalf. Know your people within the Expo Authority
and each Department and make yourself known to the right people,
before the official application procedure occurs - if there is one.
Ingratiate yourself if needs be. Try to visit the Expo site and take
part in a familiarisation tour if you can and get the name of the
Guide who takes you and his/her boss. Be at the Expo site at least a
month before the Expo starts or more so that you are there and settled
by the time the Expo starts. Be prepared from a year out to the Expo
in your research.

3. Apply through a Corporate Pavilion

Corporate Pavilions at the Expo will also be looking for guides and
attendants at the Expo. As per above, make sure you research well the
corporation and their presence at the Expo. Make contact with the
relevant people as early as you can, before the official application
procedure commences. Make your contacts up to a year before the Expo
starts, and focus in closer to the event as some recruitment may
happen at the last minute.

Good luck!
