Japan Pavilion Attendants at Shanghai Expo 2010 banned from 'evening escapades'

Just read this interesting article on the Japan Pavilion attendants -
or 'companions' as they're known in Japanese - at Shanghai World Expo
2010 and the Pavilion ban on 'evening escapades' with other Pavilion
staffers - particularly men.

Is this a case of overkill? Should Pavilion attendants be able to make
friends with and intermingle with staff from other Pavilions - even if
it is at night time? What do you think?
