since everyone is good with 3pm then we'll meet at that time and i'm hoping it will be <2hrs since that is pretty much a max attention span for anyone anyway. i'm hoping we'll go through the lesson plans, agree on what we want to teach, and future teachers will ask questions around the things that they need clarification on.

as i said before, please read the lesson plans (they're available as a download through this google group just go to the page) and prepare any questions you might have ahead of time to serve you and the group the best.

example questions are:

- difference between cassette and freewheel

- difference between "chain stay" and "seat stay" on frame of bike

- proper name for brake types (caliper, cantilever, linear pull) and their brake pads

- the names of parts like the "brake noodle", "barrel adjuster", "anchor bolt" etc. these are distinctly different things but maybe get confused!

you get the gist? if not, email me and we'll talk! we are all always learning.

see you sunday

    hi Wenches!

this just came through on the Bike Sauce email list, and thought some of you
might be available to volunteer and hone your skills before our big season
    starts:

*3. Call for Volunteers: Harmony Co-Op Bike Clinic, Sat April 9*

All for Bikes, Bikes for All! Spring Bike Clinic

Spring arrives when BikeSauce and Bicycle
    Commons<http://www.thebicyclecommons.org/STEP/Home.html>roll down the
Esplanade and into Harmony Court to lead the third annual Free
Spring Bike Clinic. Together with *It's Chez Nous!,* My First Wheels, MEC,
Simplicity Event Planning, ThinkFirst, and other community partners, this
year's event promises to make an even larger impact on the youth and
families of Toronto's Esplanade. We're calling out Wrenches and volunteers
of all skill levels to contribute some time and love to this neighbourhood's
bikes. Great food, mechanical challenges, and all the warm, grateful smiles
    you can handle.

    Saturday, April 9
    9:30am - 4:00pm
    150 Longboat Avenue, Toronto, ON
(Esplanade and Parliament - Across from the Distillery District)

Bike Clinic volunteers will receive new Bicycle Commons gear and great
cycling gifts in appreciation. A few hours or the whole day will make a real
    difference.
Please confirm your participation as soon as possible at:
    volun...@thebicyclecommons.org or in...@bikesauce.org
