I have spoken to a couple pirates about using their space in September. And tentatively it seems that Friday will be the only working day (They only have two free Wednesdays in that month...). However, normally Friday is their bike build nights, which usually start at 7:30 pm and run until 2:00 am or so. A couple of the volunteers said they probably could arrange it to move the start time to 8:30 pm so that shouldn't be a problem...I will follow-up and confirm that this can happen though.
Also they refuse to take money from us to use their space (but of course they will take donations for using their parts and stuff.). They have a mandate to host community workshops and hosted Charlie's freewheel for 2 years and didn't take a penny. So that's something to keep in mind.
best,
Xuan-Yen
p.s. come to the craft night at Bike Pirates! I will surely be there! We can make matching Wenches caps and belt? Huh huh huh?
