Subject: Penn Stands Together Against Racism; See Below How You Can Help
To: Manishi <manishi.p...@gmail.com>

Dear Manishi,

Our friend and JWD Award recipient Neil Blumenthal sent the message below to the Penn community.  There are few times when we can all agree on a specific issue and speak with one voice.  This is one of them.

"Like me, you are probably horrified that Black students at the University of Pennsylvania were recently targeted with racist messages from individuals outside of the Penn community (learn more here http://www.thedp.com/article/2016/11/black-students-respond-to-racist-group-message). In response, we have put together the open letter below (with help from other alumni and faculty.) We would love for you to take this on, to sign and share with as many alumni as possible, so that we can get thousands of signatures in the next 24 hrs. We'll then take an ad out in the Daily Pennsylvanian with the letter and the names of alumni. Thanks!

If you are a Penn alumnus, please sign this open letter to show support for current students and to confront and reject racism and hatred https://goo.gl/forms/pIy3w4CCic6dAZXz2."

As president of the Wharton Club of New York I now ask each of you to take the call and join me in signing a letter supporting Penn students.

This is another opportunity "…to place before mankind the common sense of the subject, in terms so plain and firm as to command their assent"*

Speak to you soon.
