The problem is analog modems are probably not produced anymore, or even if so, they are not developed anymore. There will never be an up-to-date modem list. Just hunt down second hand modem from hylafax.org list.
این برنامه ویندوز با نام Winprint HylaFAX Reloaded است که آخرین نسخه آن را می توان با عنوان wphf-reloaded-setup.exe دانلود کرد. می توان آن را به صورت آنلاین در ارائه دهنده میزبانی رایگان OnWorks برای ایستگاه های کاری اجرا کرد.
این برنامه ای است که می تواند از -reloaded/ نیز دریافت شود. در OnWorks میزبانی شده است تا به آسانی از یکی از سیستم عامل های رایگان ما به صورت آنلاین اجرا شود.
Bevor man HylaFAX installieren bzw. konfigurieren kann, braucht man ein Faxmodem; diese gibt es zwar wie Sand am Meer, nicht alle sind jedoch geeignet. Faxmodems werden immer seltener, weil die Faxtechnologie langsam an Wichtigkeit verliert. Hat man HylaFAX installiert, kann man die Basiskonfigurationsdateien der unterstützten Modems unter /var/spool/hylafax/config/ ansehen. Diese sind jedoch mit Vorsicht zu geniessen, weil sie teilweise fehlerhaft sind.
After a bit of poking around the Internet and the various RPM repositories, I settledon hylafax as the software which downloaded from rpmforge. I had an old US Robotics external fax modem and connected it to the serial port. The motherboard actuallyonly had a serial header block and I had to get a cable that went from the header block toa DB9M that would fit in the expansion slots for the case. Fortunately the header blockpins and the connector on the cable mapped pins 1-9 matching the DB9M serial connector.Even a blind squirrel finds and acorn once in a while.
After much frustration, I joined the Hylafax mailing list and asked the community. One responder asked if Iwas running faxgetty. I ran faxgetty from a command line and the fax connection got a lot farther. It hadtrouble setting up the modem because of the butchering I had done to /var/spool/hylafax/etc/config.modem.Note that I had created a soft link from /dev/modem to /dev/ttyS0 to make my system match some of the examplesI found on the Internet. I renamed the /var/spool/hylafax/etc/config.modem file and reran faxaddmodem torebuild a new config.modem file.
