You are responsible for any data access or usage fees charged by third parties (such as your internet service provider) attributable to your use of the PaperCut Views Software and PaperCut Views Service.
If you are entitled to the benefit of a guarantee under the ACL, then in respect of goods and/or services which are not of a kind that are ordinarily acquired for personal, domestic or household use or consumption, our liability for a failure to comply with such guarantee is limited to one of the following, at our option:
When a user scans a document that is to become text-searchable, the MFD sends it to the PaperCut MF Application ServerAn Application Server is the primary server program responsible for providing the PaperCut user interface, storing data, and providing services to users. PaperCut uses the Application Server to manage user and account information, manage printers, calculate print costs, provide a web browser interface to administrators and end users, and much more., where it's held temporarily before the server uploads it to the PaperCut MF Cloud Document Processing service for enhancement.
If there is a connection issue between the Application Server and the PaperCut MF Cloud Document Processing service, the Application server holds the document for approximately 30 minutes (default) while it retries the transmission. If it still can't send the document, it moves the document to the Application Server failed scans folder.
If the PaperCut MF Cloud Document Processing service can't apply the configured enhancements within the configured timeout period (default 30 minutes), or if it can't send the output document back to the Application Server (default retry period of 30 minutes), it will hold the document for 24 hours before securely deleting it.
When a user scans a document to a cloud storage provider, the MFD sends it to the PaperCut MF Application Server, where it is held temporarily before the Server uploads it to the PaperCut MF Cloud Storage service.
The first time a user scans to a cloud storage destination, there is a one-off step where they have to authorize PaperCut MF to upload documents to their chosen cloud storage provider. The PaperCut Cloud Storage service will hold the document for up to 24 hours, during which time the user will receive an email prompting them to perform the authorization. Subsequent scans do not require re-authorization.
Cloud storage credentials are not stored in PaperCut MF. Instead, the PaperCut MF Cloud Storage service stores the access token and refresh token provided by the storage provider during the authentication (OAuth) process. Users can revoke these at any time via their storage provider.
PaperCut is Bowdoin's print management platform. It manages and monitors printing, scanning, and copying on all Bowdoin network printers. Due to the large number of options available to request by our clients, some of the services have been separated out. To submit a PaperCut request, click the button that closely relates to what you'd like to request and complete the online form. If you'd like more information about each service offering available, click the corresponding link under the "Service Offerings" section.
Shodan reports about 1,800 publicly exposed PaperCut servers (at least, with the search query of finding PaperCut in the HTML, as the listening port is 9191 by default but can be customized). Note that there is no clear reason why this service might need to be open to the Internet.
PaperCut is the printing service for SFU & FIC students, available in computer labs and libraries across all three campuses. You can access Papercut using your Computing ID and password. Please make sure your SFU Computing ID has been activated.
We have 2 Xerox Workcentre 7970i Machines that are due to have Papercut installed on them next week. However, I have been told to check that they are running at least EIP V1.5. I've had a look on Centreware under extensible services, and to be honest, I'm not sure what I am looking at.

This afternoon I was deleting about 15 printers out of our print server and PaperCut. Around the same time, print jobs stopped showing up in our virtual queue in PaperCut but were still showing up in the virtual printer in print management. After I restarted the PaperCut Print Provider service, new jobs after the restart showed up.
Also remediated by PaperCut in version 22.1.3 is a security flaw that could allow an unauthenticated attacker with direct server IP access to upload arbitrary files into a target directory, leading to a potential denial-of-service (CVE-2023-3486, CVSS score: 7.4). Tenable has been credited with discovering and reporting the issue.

Sending a document from your device (tied to your eservices account) and having a friend pay for it using their card is not possible. If you wish to do this, the friend doing the paying must also send the document to HoosPrint.

During the Fall 2012, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette used over two million sheets of paper in the STEP labs, costing over $150,000.00 of the STEP program budget. The cost increases significantly over an entire year. If the amount of STEP funding spent on printing can be reduced, the money saved can fund and sustain other technology projects on campus- projects that provide long term benefits for you, and for future students. It's your money; we want to help you make it go further and provide more tangible services.

Connecticut College uses a print system, PaperCut, to enhance functionality, simplify maintenance and to provide additional services. The fleet of Kyocera Print/Copy/Scan devices, also known as Multifunctional Devices (MFDs), are located in Shain Library, Greer Music Library, the Language & Culture Center, in many academic buildings, and in the College Center at Crozier-Williams.
Each MFD has the ability to scan a document into a digital PDF format and email it to your email address or any other conncoll.edu email address. There is no charge for scanning services. The scan to my email option is on the touch panel as soon as you tap your CamelCard on the MFD. For additional scanning and copying instructions click here.
Please practice social distancing when waiting in line and using the MFDs. Please wipe down the MFDs before and after use with the wipes provided at each device. Please dispose of the wipes in the wipe receptacle when finished. If the wipes are running low, please place a work order with Facilities under campus services on CamelWeb.
You can print over the wireless network to several locations using the PaperCut service. When wireless printing, you do not have control over print settings. You add your document and it prints single-sided, all pages.
